Gatti is completely fucking shot. I mean people can say what they want about him, but he was a terrific puncher, he had good handspeed and power, and he could put the hurting on anyone very quick. Now he looks slow, diminished, and he can't seem to mount any offense. He used to be one of the most durable guys in the sport, one of the hardest guys to knock out, now he's getting knocked out by guys who aren't known for their ability to knock people out.

He needs to retire while he still remembers his name...

Sure, but what about gomez? He looked very sharp. A little underrated before this fight. I am looking forward to his next fight, I hope he gets a top ten match.

BTW I hated the contender show and thought it was a complete farce.

I have a new respect for Gomez. Never thought he could stand Gatti.

i gomez had heart and i thought he would give a good fight, but he looked better than i thought.

gatti is done, its too bad, he is a warrior and will always be remmebered as one, lets hope he hangs it up. he looked terrible tonight, it was painful to watch.

Apparently he announced his retirement after the fight.Sad to him him go but glad he's out.Wish he could have ended on a win.

I think the fight was a combination of Gatti getting older and Gomez preparing extremely well.Gomez was 9 years younger than Gatti so some of it should be expected.After seeing Gatti getting close to ko'd and not throwing back like the Gatti of old was depressing.

He was still the most exciting boxer ever regardless.And I hope Kellerman gets jaw cancer for kicking while him while he was down.
