View Full Version : Top 5 360 games?
ninjashoes 07-10-2007, 04:05 PM Now that a price drop is headed our way I've decided to go ahead and pick up an Xbox 360. I really havent been following gaming enough the past few years. What would you consider the top 5 games so far?
I'm deciding what games I should start out with.
dr.katz 07-10-2007, 04:19 PM i havent played a bunch of games but a few solid ones i think are
rainbow 6
gears of war
fifa 07, although it might be worth it just to wait for 08
splinter cell
when/if i get it im planning on -Halo 3 -GTA4 - call of duty 4 -C&C3: tiberium wars and mabye perfect dark zero
mind you i havent played any of these and most of these arent even out yet
ninjashoes 07-10-2007, 04:27 PM they need to hurry up and come out with Knigt of the Old Republic 3
that was the best Xbox game series for sure yes even better than Halo
Halo kicked ass but playing a FPS with a controller is just homosexual
dr.katz 07-10-2007, 05:29 PM yeah c&c3 is pretty sick, lots of replayablitiy.
heard cod4 is gonna be legit, just sucks gta is always on a delayed release for the box.
Rynoplasty 07-10-2007, 06:28 PM Oblivion is definitely number one.
Others in no order are Saints Row, Gears of War, which does not play like a first person shooter in my opinion, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Crackdown. Also all of these have pretty good gameplay times, except Gears' story is short as hell, but the multiplayer is great and the community is huge.
If you like RPG's Enchanted Arm's was also good.
also whe the new ufc game that thq is supposed to be making comes out im getting that for SURE
Rynoplasty 07-10-2007, 06:32 PM Oh yeah, Lost Planet is also pretty badass, and Ninety Nine Nights is cheap as hell and fun IF you like hack n' slash games like Dynasty Warriors. I also enjoyed Phantasy Star Universe, but it is hack n' slash as well.
Spider-man 3 is good too.
Trolly 07-10-2007, 11:43 PM Gears of War
Dead Rising
Forza 2
The Darkness
Ghost Recon 2
Keep an eye out for Too Human, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed
Dert McGert 07-11-2007, 12:19 AM FPS
The Darkness - A great story and gameplay, multiplayer is messed up and waiting for an update
Gears of War - Great story and multiplayer is fun
Shadowrun - Set-up like Counter-strike, but includes different items like magic and technology
COD Series - 2 was good, 3 has great multiplayer, and 4 will destroy all
Halo Series - The beta was fun and there is still more to know about it. Story mode sounds like fun will up to 4 player co-op online and you can complete missions like GTA
GTA Series - Don't need to say anything here.
Condemmed - Fucked up game, sequel coming soon.
Dead Rising - Most inventive game I have ever played. Sequel coming soon.
Rainbow Six and Splinter Cells - Haven't played either series, but do like what is coming out for them.
Sports
Any 2k game is fun unless you get 2k6 games.
Need For Speed Series - Great game on 360, sequel will be awsome.
Table Tennis - Different type of gameplay, but does get old.
RPG(I haven't played any)
Only one I am interested in is Oblivion. About to be releashed as Game of the Year and including new quests as well as Shivering Isles.
Future Games
Bioshock - Great looking FPS
A lot of RPG games.
A bunch of old games on Live Arcade.
There is many others, I just haven't played them. I have about 30 games right now and am going to be adding more when Oct/Sept come around. That is going to be when a lot of new, great games are releashed.

my five must haves as well.
but when mass effect comes out that will most likely replace oblivion at no 1.

I am hoping for this as well, even if it is close it will be ok for me though.

if what ive seen is any indicator, it will be amazing. just sucks that it wont be out till fucking november.
CreatureCore 07-19-2007, 04:43 AM I didnt like oblivian much. I hoping two worlds will be better. As for whats out already just Gears of War as being amazing. But this is the year 360 finally gets really special games.
You got Mass Effect coming, Bioshock, Assasins Creed, GTA, Ace Combat, blue dragon, two worlds, turok, and others i cant think of all coming out this year.

Yeah, I am hoping Two Worlds and Blue Dragon will hold me over for awhile. Plus I still want to rent and play Darkness/Overlord/Call of Juarez as they all look interesting.

Everyone says this good so I am going to rent it soon.

Lego Star Wars is fun, but to complete it 100% you have to put in well over 100 hours. It has replay value like no other game just to complete everything.

Damn, it is like that huh? I am definitley going to borrow this from my work soon.

Well, 100 hour is too much. I have about 60% and have played for almost 20 hours.
Rynoplasty 07-21-2007, 02:34 AM As long as the game is good enough 100 hours isn't so bad.

I think it is well worth the $20 at Wal Mart. As you progress, you unlock new characters. Some of those characters have special powers to unlock certain parts in levels. This is what gives it such a high replay value. That at that you can play a mode where you have to beat the entire game in less than 10 hours, I think.

It is already marked down to 20 as well? I may actually buy it. I haven't bought a game in forever. The last games I bought were Saints Row and Phantasy Star Universe close to the end of February. Since then I have just been renting or playing old stuff. I did buy the Oblivion expansion pack though so I guess that counts. It was fucking 30 bucks after all.
Ggallaz 07-21-2007, 06:56 PM OF all the 360 games I have played Ninja, I would say the only one worth spending your hard earned money on is Fight Night Round 3. It is pretty much an MP game but it is pretty awesome in regards to competition. All the other games I have played that are supposed to be "awesome" are absolutely awful in my opinion.
dr.katz 07-21-2007, 10:35 PM Starwars Legos
is this one or two?
Rynoplasty 07-21-2007, 10:37 PM is this one or two?
I am thinking 2 since one was only for regular xbox.

Shivering Isles...totally worth the money.
Rynoplasty 07-22-2007, 01:28 AM Shivering Isles...totally worth the money.
Yeah, I definitely spent more time playing that expansion than I do most games I pay 60 bucks for. It was a nice addition to Oblivion for sure, with awesome new weapons, plus the Dark Seducers are teh hawt.

Sorry, I picked Duke of Bliss.
Shivering Isles...totally worth the money.
fuck yeah it is. not that i needed to spend another chunk of time playing this game, but SI is by far the best expansion to a game i have ever played.
Rynoplasty 07-22-2007, 05:26 AM *Slight Spoiler* You get both the Seducers and Saints eventually.
