Has anyone heard of Rhadi Ferguson?? He claims to be very good at judo but I don't think he even won world or olympic titles. He boast about this Grind video. Is he a scam??

Rhadi Ferguson is the real deal. He's a 2004 judo American olympian (don't think he got a medal), national Judo champ, BJJ blackbelt, and competed in ADCC. Check youtube, etc and you'll find some videos of him doing his thing. His slams are huge and definitely cool.

He is however, a marketing machine. He pimps more workout products than John Basedow. I've seen some of his intocombat stuff and it seems really intense cardio, and not really for your average weekend warrior. Never heard of Grind, but it's probably more of the same. A really intense circuit of exercises using a bunch of fitness equipment the company he works for sells.

Rhadi is very good at judo and grappling in general, but also got by alot on strength and athleticism, as opposed to technique. He's more explosive than Kevin Randleman, and everytime he throws or submits he uses 1000% force. Have you ever seen the manuerisms of a squirrel before? He sorta just twitches then kills you.

As far as his dvds are concerned, I'd much rather hear master Chan discuss the finer points of footwork than hear Rhadi tell you how to give 110% using his award winning step-by-step program, but that's just me.

I have the Gi Circuit dvd from IntoCombat. I think it's a bit overpriced, but then I got it used off of ebay, so it wasn't too bad. Half of it is ground. Half standing.

Basically you hit it for 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off. But it's based off of using grappling moves to work your cardio.

I guess to answer your question... no, I don't think he is a scam. But I still can't bring myself to fork over the kind of money he asks for many of his products.

I don't know what claims he made his Grind video. I do think some of his products are over priced tho. He had a body weight program I was looking at called the back yard workout. But I would never spend $147+shipping and handling for any workout DVD let alone a Body weight program.
