They're also offering an 80GB uint that comes with Motorstorm for $599, but you'd have to be an idiot to pay $100 more for a game and 20GB.

I agree with u, but like PCmaker said i think its alittle too late for the price drop, and that the wii and 360 are 6-1 selling more consoles then the PS3. Also the online world is called "HOME". If u where wondering

The Wii is marketed to little kids and the Xbox 360 isnt doing so well in Japan. Trust me Sony is doing just fine, they already topped well over a million units which is wayy more than you saw any system do back in teh early-mid nineties.

The userbase the PS3 has already established is enough to gaurantee a run. The Xbox 360 is well ahead though and is winning right now. I'll probably buy an Xbox this month and a PS3 a year from now when its library has grown.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge the Wii's content. Word is that there is a lot of 3rd party software being produced based off of the Wii's extremely successful launch, plus one of the most anticipated releases for the Wii this year is Manhunt 2. As for the PS3 there's not a whole I see coming out that is exclusive to the system that I want. In fact all that comes to mind is MGS and Tekken. $500 is an awful lot, and I sure as hell don't want to get burned like I did with Sega CD and 32X.

Manhunt 2? please don't tell me this is the sequel to The PS2 seriel killer game. Because that game was so repetitive and boring. Also It's MGS man have you seen the trailers it looks awesome, totally worth it.

Sony has dropped the ball a few times already. Assassins Creed was supposed to be exclusive as well as GTA4, Virtual Fighter 4, Devil may cry as mentioned, and now there's strong talk of the upcoming Final Fantasy games being multiplatform as well.

Hey it's the same for me with MGS4 when it comes out consider another ps3 purchased. I like playing at arcades with Tekken 5 this one had free games on tuesdays and it was kewl that you could hook your ps2 controller into the machine.

Even with the price drop, I'm still not tempted in getting it. First Dreamcast, now PS3.
