I rented this for 360 because they were out of all the games I wanted to play, and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The game is made by Bethesda (Oblivion, Fallout) and you start out as the original Enterprise from the "Enterprise" show, and then go through Kirk TOS missions and finally play as Picard in the Next Gen. You can actually sell the enterprise though and use different ships, for up to a total of four.
Flying your fleet around pwns. The combat can be difficult at first to figure out, as well as some of the other controls, but other than that the game is pretty badass. You start out in whatever star system, with your ships together, and can keep them that way or split them up to scan different planets or go to whatever. The graphics are good and some of the achievements can be really challenging on the default difficulty as you often have to protect ships/starbases or face a time limit. There is also a multiplayer mode, but I haven't tried it yet, but I bet Deathmatch would own.
If you like Star Trek, or just like flying a bunch of huge ships in space you should try it.
