IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (49-3, 44 KOs) was in complete command in scoring a sixth round TKO over former world champion Lamon Brewster (33-4, 29 KOs) on Saturday night at the Köln Arena in Cologne, Germany. Klitschko spent most of the first two rounds in the center of the ring keeping Brewster on the end of his jab. Round three brought a mixture of jabs and right hands from the champion as Brewster struggled to land anything meaningful. It was all Klitschko in the fourth and fifth rounds as Brewster was unable to get past the jab to apply significant pressure. Klitschko continued to impale Brewster with the jab in the sixth round and Brewster absorbed several cracking right hands. Brewster's trainer Buddy McGirt had seen enough after six one-sided rounds and pulled the plug before the start of round seven. Klitschko impressively avenged a fifth round KO loss to Brewster three years ago. "Dr. Steelhammer" hasn't lost since.

Great win for Wlad.I dont believe Brewster had ever been stopped before this.
Wlad is emerging as the clearcut best HW in the world.

I dont what went down that night but I do know this,Wlad uncharacteristically fell to pieces for no apparant reason, & very suddenly.

I hope Wlad keeps on improving under Steward.Lennox bloomed late under Manny and Wlad looks to be doing the same.
Boxing needs a dominant HW and Wlad is the best candidate by far to fill those shoes. He's hitting his prime about now and probably has another 2-3 yrs left to peak out.
Wlad has a great kit of punches & he can really crack.Hes good to watch thats 4 sure.Ive always hoped Wlad would one day be better than the version of himself that hammered Ray Mercer. After a few setbacks Wlad [with the help of Manny]has picked himself up to now be better than ever.
War Wlad!

Awesome performance by Wlad (even though it took him twice as long to knock out Brewster as I thought it would, LOL no one is perfect). People can say he has a glass jaw or no heart, but its pretty obvious to me that we are looking at a guy with exceptional talent to go along with his amazing physical gifts. Can you imagine seeing today's Wlad against a mid to late 90's Lennox Lewis?

Wlad is the best technically skilled heavyweight I have ever personally had the chance to watch fight. I am talking in my lifetime - Ali of course was a more skilled boxer but Ali had so much natural ability that he was able to break all the rules and get away with it. Wlad is actually more technically sound than Ali was. Wlads jab = 3rd after Ali and Larry Holmes and his right following that jab cracks much harder than Holmes' and Ali's did IMO. If only Wlad had a granite chin like Sam Peter's or Mark Hunts. He would be unbeatable, (unless you poison him like King did the first Brewster fight)

WAAAAAAY harder than Holmes and Ali did, agreed 100%. Its incredible that Wlad not only has these skills but also has the power to knock guys out with one punch from either hand.

I'm tellin ya, if Peter can rack up another big win or two against other top opposition, a rematch between those two would be monumental.

Wlad has an awesome hook to go with the big right.
That short hook that crumpled charles Shufford was awesome, and he flattened Mercer with a double hook off the jab!

Good point, cuz we know what kind of chin Mercer has.

I don't mean to hug Wlad's nuts, but its amazing how many tools the guy has. I've been hard on his bandwagon since he gave Peters a boxing lesson, I was one of the guys who thought Peter was going to send Wlad to the cemetary

If you wanna talk about the left how about the Ray Austin fight where he didn't throw 1 right hand the entire fight. He literally beat him with 1 hand behind his back and finished him with left hook after left hook

WHEN Peter racks up a couple more wins Wlad will finally have his unification bout. Against the 1 guy I think will give him a hard hard hard fight.
