Lex Luger was interviewed by the Atlanta Journal Constitution regarding the Benoit Family Tragedy recently. He explains of the public fascination with professional wrestling. In the article he says: "People like to see freaks. It's like live cartoon characters",

Luger goes into detail of how he blew millions of dollars and ended up flat broke at the age of 49. He talks about the business and says "You start with a painkiller for bumps and bruises. And then you need more. It's never enough."

Luger was arrested for steroid possession following the the death of Miss Elizabeth, and was later jailed for violating his parole. While in prison, he met a pastor who later counseled him and took him into his home. Luger now lives in a spare bedroom of the pastor's residence.
