I know it was prelims, but according to Wikipedia.com the fight was ruled a no contest in round 2 (emerson submits, maynard knocked out). Does anyone know what the hell happened???

You know what though, mazagatti didn't call that fight a nc until after the replay, there is no instant replay rule in MMA and that is bullshit. If matt hughes can win the welterweight title that way, maynard can get a win that way.

how do you know why mazagatti stopped it? its not like you could clearly see his face reacting to anything that was happening. for all anyone knows, he could have seen the may maynard landed and wanted to break them up for a doc to check his neck after the way he fell. i know i would have.

I disagree with the NC call, when Hughes beat Newton for the WW title, he passed out from the triangle choke and dropped Newton on his back/neck. He even agreed to that when they were watching the replay. Gray was def. rocked by the head landing, but he was not unconscious. His eyes may have rolled back, but they were still open...therefore it was either a win, or it should've gone to the judges.
