Vitali Klitschko returns 9/22!
Former two-time heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will begin his comeback against three-time title challenger Jameel McCline on September 22 in Munich, Germany. For Klitschko (35-2, 34 KOs), it will be his first fight since his December 2004 KO against Danny Williams. Vitali retired in 2005 after a series of injuries. McCline (38-7-3, 23 KOs) is coming off an unsuccessful January WBA title challenge against then-champ Nikolai Valuev that ended in round three when McCline collapsed with a knee injury. Vitali's brother, current IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko, stopped McCline via tenth round TKO in 2002. The WBC has mandated that Vitali, recognized as "champion emeritus," be given an immediate title shot against the winner of the mandatory Oleg Maskaev-Samuel Peter fight.

Vitali's a much different fighter than Wlad.He cant punch near as hard or technically as wlad but he's got the chin & will that keeps him in good stead untill he gets the job done.
Hes fighting McCline and he should get a [t]KO & then straight to a title fight.Their dream of both being world champs at the same time is still a good possibility.

SERIOUSLY!!! Those guys, at least in the ring, are nothing alike. Wlad is the best offensive fighter upwards of 168 but lacks a really good chin and doesn't have the most incredible stamina (at least when he was poisoned against Brewster.) Vitali is the traditional Russian fighter who stands tall in the center of the ring and lines up his opponent for that thudding 1-2. Such a simple weapon but I remember him DEMOLISHING Kirk Johnson with it when Johnson was supposed to be the #1. Honestly Vitali has never lost a fight by legit means. His loss to Byrd he required surgery on his shoulder after the fight and retired from that in the 9th and his loss to Lennox he was ahead (if perhaps Lennox was narrowing the gap) when it was stopped over one of the most horrible cuts I've ever seen in a boxing ring. And of course the cut was caused by a glancing blow... shittiest of all it was either the tape, or the stitching doing the damage. WAR KLIT BROTHERS!!!

I thought he was ready to hit the next level after the Lewis fight. He showed so much heart.I loved at the end how he was following Lewis around the ring trying to get him to say he'd give him a rematch on camera.Really disappointed when he retired but it feels like he lost all the momentum he had going for him after that fight.
