Bute overcomes Bika!

Unbeaten super middleweight Lucien Bute (20-0, 16 KOs) scored an impressive twelve round decision over two-time world title challenger Sakio Bika (22-3-2, 14 KOs) in an IBF eliminator on Friday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The aggressive Bika got off to a good start, but after several intense rounds the southpaw Bute figured him out and outboxed Bika the rest of the way. A frustrated Bika was deducted a point for an intentional headbutt in round ten. In the end, scores were 118-109, 118-109, 116-111 for Bute, who earned a shot at IBF titleholder Alejandro Berrio with the win. Attendance was 9,187.
