The three main guys I have in mind are Lucian Bute, Jean Pascal and Adonis Stevenson (who a friend of mine lost a decision to in the amateurs). All three of em have shown a lot of natural talent, speed, and some good punching power IMO. Lucian Bute has a fight in a few days against former Calzaghe opponent Sakio Bika, who will really give Lucian a test IMO. Lucian is getting most of the hype around here, but I'm big on Pascal. Its too early for me to say anything solid about Stevenson besides his punching power because he's been destroying guys quick as of late, but Pascal has faced better compedition so far and has made some experienced, rugged journeymen and guys with good records look pretty bad. I heard people say he isn't as technically sound as he should be, but I think he'll start filling in those gaps as he gets more experience (he's only been pro for 2 years).
Anyone else have any opinions on these guys?

Never seen the other two however I have Bute behind Calzaghe and Kessler as the best prospect the division has to offer.
Yeah I remember saying something about Bute not long ago.

We were talking about how Creepy Old Man was behind Mundine and you said his only advantage was being black... Then we went on about how Bute is a better prospect than Mundine is a contender.

I know Bika is tough & a good test for any fighter coming up.

You gotta catch some of Pascal's stuff, he's real fast and strong, puts great combinations together. Stevenson has dynamite in his hands, my buddy had like 80-something amateur fights and said Stevenson by far was the hardest puncher he ever fought.

Bute will be a title contender. He needs to sharpen up on the defense and keep his punches tight.
