FUCK! I just got it for the first time. I've never had ANY problems whatsoever with my 360 until last night. I was watching a DVD and it just paused and had little squares all over the place on my screen. I turned it off, waited a couple of minutes and was pleasantly surprised to see that the "Red Ring of Death" had disappeared.
Today, I watched a PRIDE DVD and then uploaded a Paul McCartney album onto my 360. I went to bring my car to the shop and when I got home it was the same bullshit squares with the ring of death.

FUCK! Now I have to drive to fuckin wal-mart and exchange this shit (hopefully). This is so gay, I needed to rant.

Check the date on the 360. MicroSoft fucked up a bunch and will "fix" yours if it falls under a certain date. That is if Wal-Mart doesn't take it back. If Microsoft doesn't cover the warranty, it costs about $150 to have them fix it. Mine is well over a year old and have yet to have a problem with it.

By the way, good luck with all the hassle of the warranty issue if Wal-Mart doesn't cover it.

PS3 is losing a lot of its games to 360, too. And the PS3 has had its fair share of problems, from what I hear. The price is the biggest. I guess it is only fair that you are buying a Bly-Ray player as well. That is the only selling point for me. There is no games worthing buying, though.

Microsoft was smart by putting out the 360 a year ahead of the ps3. Developers have had more time to work with the systems. Plus with everyone on live they can update the games and fix problems.

I would still rather have a PS3, the xbox might look better now but after the PS3 has time to catch up then there wont be such a difference in amount of good games plus PS3 owners will be able to enjoy the extra space blu ray provides as well as awesome free online gaming.

Japanese have never really liked Xbox or the 360. The bulky desing of the first did scare a lot of people there. I feel that this was a bad choice since there really isn't a MicroSoft following since the first Xbox sank.

The PS2 is still selling like crazy. Sony hasn't ditched the PS2 since they are still releasing games and accesories. This is something that MicroSoft did. They have quit producing accesories and have cut back a lot of games being produced.

The question of a price drop helping the system is up in the air. Why would Sony price drop already? Their systems hasn't been out that long. MicroSoft is hoping to get a few more buyers when the price is rumored to be dropped around the two year release of the 360.

I really think that Sony needs to pick it up and start producing games. MicroSoft has had a huge jump on them and Sony is still kind of waiting to see how things go. I know that they release games via Sony's online store for PS3, but that can only do so much. I am for getting a PS3 for the Blu-Ray dvd, but that is the only selling point for it to me. I would like to see some good games come out to help push me into really getting one, though.

The Zelda game isn't even a next gen game, you can get it for Gamecube and it looks the same. It was originally going to be Gamecube only. I have played and it is an awesome game, but I don't think it is better than Oblivion or a couple other next gen games.

Wii's version of next gen was the controller set-up. It is a good idea, but you really need a bunch of games to back up the idea. I have yet to play Zelda for Wii. I haven't even played any Zeldas. The one for Wii does look fun, though.
