Triple H recently did an interview on a radio show called Greg and the Morning Buzz, which is available online. Here are some of the highlights:
- His injury is doing well now and the rehabilitation is coming along fine. Said it feels good, but he can't run yet and it feels normal to just walk around at this point. Said when he does a lot of activity, it swells up a lot.
- The quad tear was a complete tear from the bone, but was put right back into place and is stronger than the previous surgery he had.
- Dr. Andrews said the injury came from years of too much abuse. Triple H mentions getting into bodybuilding at age 14. Also said Andrews told him some peoples bodies are more susceptible to injuries, I guess he fits that category.
- Said of course, there will be some ring rust and favoring of the knee upon his return but he'll get in there and work all the kinks out. Acknowledged the fact that he'll have to watch which leg he puts the most weight on because both are surgically repaired.
- Said he will definitely make a full time return and this won't keep him out of the ring for good.
- He realizes this is a young man's business but feels like he has a lot left in him and feels like he can do it just as good now as before. Says if he gets back in the ring and can't move right and work right, then he'll hang it up.
- The last injury was more severe than this one, but the rehab is much easier and he has been doing most of it at home spending time with his and Stephanie's 10 month old baby.
- Says its hard to go back into WWE and say which angles suck and which don't, because people look at him like "you haven't even been around, who are you to say?"
- When he and Stephanie first told Vince she was pregnant, he wanted a granddaughter and said Vince is a great grandfather, just nervous with babies.
- When Ric Flair first returned to WWE, he didn't think Flair would stick around long because Flair was a nut case and had lost most of his confidence. Wishes Flair sometimes would stop, so he doesn't get seriously hurt.
- His opinion on the current state of wrestling, its a great product but his problem is with the younger guys. Says all young talent think they're owed something and don't work for it, then complain that they're not on RAW. Says some of these guys aren't on TV because nobody wants to see them, they have no personality and are boring. Mentioned he, Flair and Michaels would watch a crappy WWE TV segment backstage, and Flair would say something like "that's why I'll have a job here for life."
