Briggs is huge.6'4 278 lbs.And its solid weight.
Have to go with Briggs
Briggs used to box at 240 a few years ago. He's 273 these days & its not fat.He makes the 220lb Sultan look small.

Beanflicker 06-01-2007, 06:46 PM I'll go for Pineapple headed briggs by KO/TKO.
At one point Mike Tyson was supposed to work Sultan's corner.

Look at the size difference. They don't look like they belong in the same weightclass.
Can you believe Shannon once fought at 205lbs??
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-02-2007, 12:16 AM I don't know who will win... But I do know 1 thing. Briggs will gas FAST like he always does. At that point all Sultan has to do is box and run around him. I say Briggs is completely gassed by the 4th round. Then will blame his asthma after the fight for his loss.
I dont think Sultan can hold Briggs off for 12 rounds and Briggs gassed or not always has KO power, Im going for the monster in the early rounds
Peter.Kitzmiller 06-02-2007, 09:17 AM Dean Winchester knows his boxing. He is good peeps.
Thank you

Will WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs keep a portion of the heavyweight title in American hands? Or is unbeaten Russian star Sultan Ibragimov ready to seize his first world title as oddsmakers predict? Those questions will be answered during tonight's potentially explosive world heavyweight championship bout from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City....while it lasts. The champion Briggs (48-4-1, 42 KOs) enters the fight with twelve straight knockouts, while the unbeaten Ibragimov (20-0-1, 17 KOs) is coming off a 46 second annhilation of Javier Mora in his last bout. Briggs has predicted a first round knockout.
Oddsmakers are going with Ibragimov

I'd rep myself if I could... He gassed then blamed his asthma for the loss... What a fuckin poon
Beanflicker 06-03-2007, 03:08 PM ^Good call man. I thought that was a strong possibility but I figured Briggs would probably overwhelm the much smaller Sultan before it happened. Looks like you were the only one who called it right.
War Sultan!

-Shannon Briggs, post fight.
Briggs is a retard, plain and simple.

you are correct
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-06-2007, 12:18 PM As to Briggs once fighting around 205 lbs....
Shannon Briggs is on that good Barry Bonds nucca
no doubt
we are talking roids huh? Barry Bonds is not big in Australia
Briggs should fight Butterbean
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-06-2007, 01:56 PM Yeah... Whatever helped Barry Bonds add 1,000 lbs of muscle certainly didn't hurt Briggs... except for his stamina
Im glad he isnt champ anymore, I couldnt stand a guy like him representing the HW championship
its bad enough theres still 3 HW champions
Does anyone know wtf is going on with Peter/Maskaev?
looks like Peter has been swept aside at the moment
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-06-2007, 02:04 PM Peter Maskaev will go forward I don't think there is a firm date on it yet. But that matchup is set in stone.

With Wladimir back I dont think its so set in stone anymore, they were already talking about a Wlad/Maskaev bout right after Peter/Toney II
I hope Peter gets his shot soon, he is entertaining to say the least
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-06-2007, 02:21 PM I think you're refering to Vitali... Yeah that fell through... Its set in stone Peter Maskaev. Vitali is supposed to have dibs on the winner. That whole situation held up the title defense like 6 months. its been rectified though
Im bad with names, I get Margarito and Mayorga mixed up also
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-06-2007, 10:39 PM ^Lol... The ones I always screw up is Rich Franklin and Forrest Griffen cause they both look like such chodes
Beanflicker 06-07-2007, 01:38 AM I'm hoping that Peter and Wlad win all their upcoming fights and set up a rematch with each other. In my mind, Wlad is the best HW out there, and Peter is #2 with the possibility of becoming #1. Wlad is awesome.

Agreed on their rankings... I'd rather see Wlad fight another title holder besides Peter, and Peter do the same. Peter takes Maskaev's belt then fights Chagaev. Wlad beats up Sultan. Then an actual unification bout for all 4 belts. That would be sweet. A real champion. Winner of that fights Vitali. Of course if Wlad won there wouldn't be a fight :(

Agreed.
As u said,It'll never happen but Wlad/Vitali would indeed be sweet.
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-07-2007, 06:08 AM Why can't they hate each other like Fedor E and Alex E?
