The WBC today ordered the free negotiation term to begin between the camps of WBC super featherweight titlist Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao. If no deal has been reached by June 18th, a purse bid will take place at the WBC Headquarters in Mexico City. It is unlikely an agreement will be reached between Marquez' promoter Golden Boy and Pacquiao's promoter Top Rank and it is even more unlikely that the fight will happen anytime soon as both camps have been eying different fights.
.................................................. .................................................. .
This is a huge event.JMM won their first fight,I know its conjecture but had he not gone down 3 times in the 1st rd & lost it 10/6 the fight was his.He counterd beautifully and came back to win 8 of the remaining 11 rds,not bad after being on the brink of a 1st rd KO.
The rematch had different circumstances though,Pac has undoubtedly bloomed into a better fighter since then & JMM may well be a shade past his best at 33.But like all greats JMM is a pure fighter & could well pull out a dazzling performance in the twilight of his career.
