Ok I finally got my copy of ODL/PBF to rewatch. I scored it exactly the same as I did the night of the fight: 116-112 PBF. It's easy to say "well I thought PBF won" or "I thought it was a draw", but lets see how we all scored it round by round.

The 12th was close but I gave it to Oscar because he flurried effectively IMO, and also got the better of the final exchange.

I saw a deja vu of the first Sam Peter/James Toney fight where the judges were obviously impressed with hard punches that WERE NOT landing. I'm sorry, if you get a guy on the ropes and throw 10 punches with only ONE landing clean, and the rest of the round the other guy is circling and pot shotting you with jabs, left hooks and right hands, you aint getting the round on my scorecard.

Great performance by Floyd.

but what i seen Oscar pushing the pace of the fight the entire time (which i guess isn't worth shit in boxing) and I pretty much agreed with the announcer's scoring of the fight, and had Oscar up by a round

But unfortunately like Jim Lampley said, the judges aren't always the best at distinguishing what lands from what doesn't. Just watch the first Toney/Peter fight to see that.

It's funny how everyone says that Botha is a failure in K1. His record may not be fantastic, but he has stoppage wins over both Peter Aerts and Jerome Lebanner.
