LAS VEGAS –They already have a specific date picked out for Jermain Taylor to go to England to fight Joe Calzaghe. The working date being bandied about by Taylor promoter Lou DiBella and Calzaghe guru Fearless Frank Warren is Sept. 22.

That being the case, it looks like Warren and Calzaghe have no intention of making Joe’s next fight the big super middleweight champions showdown with Denmark’s unbeaten Mikkel Kessler.

I wonder why Warren didn’t try for a Calzaghe-Peter Manfredo rematch.

In other DiBella news, the promoter happily reports that Taylor-Cory Spinks, coming up on May 19 in Memphis, has already brought in a half-million dollars at the gate.

I'm just wondering when he's going to fight someone worth a shit...
Calzaghe is just another version of Dariusz Michalczewski to me..I know Europe fawns over the dood, but one dominant win over a young untested prospect(Lacy) does nothing for the Legend here in the west...

Well, after his hand heals, I hope he has running thru 7 more nobodies on his way to holding the new paper record. Or he'll be like Dariusz and get old before he can actually reach the big 50-0...
Regardless...It's 43 wins over nobody. 7 more shouldn't be a problem

His best wins are over Lacy, Brewer and......Richie Woodall? Mario Veit? Sheika?
fuck, even a Antwun Echols would boost his credability....just somebody worth a damn on that 43-0 record.

Taylor for the W.

as much as I dislike Calz for some reason I think he wins this fight by UD his style could be tro much for Taylor to deal with and the fact that its apparantly gonna happen in England is a huge deal for Joe
I can see Calz completely out boxing Taylor in this one, I hope he finally fights Kessler after
Mundine needs to do more, I think he could beat all of them
