One thing I'd like to ask is that why is Jesus Christ shown as a Blonde White Guy when he was from Middle East and was possibly as brown as me.
Can we hold Church Evangelists responsible for that.?!?

How can religious fundies say
"The theory of ID was a major factor that brought me to this beliefe so let me share with you some of the information on the subject that I found compelling. I repeat this is not about any specific religion. Take your time and look at some of this info with an open mind."
and then after I give a long explanation of how evolution has been proven at the request of the same poster he says "I didn't even read your post PWNT".
??
To other people: Why should I be tolerant of these sorts of people?

I didn't read your post because you were being a dickhead, nothing more.

Ha. If that's how you want to spin it. I suppose your eloquent responses of ":gojerkit: " were very courteous. What a good Christian you are. Way to turn the other cheek.
Anyway, you asked for proof of evolution--I gave it to you. Sorry if you dislike that.

You can blame the Catholic Church for pretty much 90% of what Christians do and say and think and believe...

Yeah, SVT has been "born again" for about 15 minutes. He is the worst kind of Christian. He had some sort of shallow "enlightenment" so now he cuts and pastes internet articles about ID from such disgraced "scientists" as Michael Behe and other bible college PHD frauds- and expects people like you and I to follow his path.
It is absolutley fucking hilarious how he comes accross as this holier-than-thou "take your time and view the info with an open mind" guy, then he treats your rebuttal with the same contempt and ignorance that he accuses athiests of having for him.
Everytime he posts his half-baked ideas on christianity or science he just drives educated people further from his position..
Faith > proof
Faith can blind one to proof also.
Faith can be a great comfort & religion when used properly can be a good thing, but its a double edged sword that can & has also lead many to be unknowingly subserviant to those with alterior motives & commit attrocities on their behalf.
Religion is an amazing phenomon. When inside a religious bubble the adherent, comforted by the agreement of others, becomes blind to fallacies that are obvious to those outside of the bubble.
For example, its easy for a christian to see that a buddhist who believes he may be reincarnated as a dog or a an ant in his next lifetime has beliefs that are very difficult to take as literal truth .However he can simeoltaneously remain blind to the concept that Noah squeezed every living animal x2 on a boat he biult as being physically impossible.
A seemingly intelligent scientologist can throrughly believe that an evil overlord named Xenu massacred the populations of 75 planets, froze them & shipped them to earth, blowing them up in volcanoes while inside the scientology bubble. And yet simeoltaneously he'll critically dissect the Gospel & point out that ressurection of christ as explained by all 4 Gospels differ from each other & given the significance & importance of the ressurection as being integral to Gospels message how could this be?
He'll argue with rationale & validity pointing to various indesrepencies. "Think of the most important event of ur life & I guarantee you'll remember it with clarity. In the ressurection we have not only the single most important event event of the apostles life but also the entirety of mankind.Yet somehow all of their recollections differ, how can this be?"But the belief of an evil space alien commiting attrocities on other planets remains, escaping the critical thinking that he used when evaluating another religion.Amazing!
The glaring irregularities & contradictions of religions can only be overlooked when viewing them from inside the bubble.
I have been in bubbles at times of my life & they just wern't for me.I have felt the comfort that "knowing we're eternal spirits destined for heaven" brings. In my case this great hope just wasn't enough to cause a dulling of critical thought in order for me to keep that hope alive. Many have issues in confronting their mortality but I've learnt to accept it,it took a while but I am now content with the concept.

Faith > proof
So what you are saying is:
Faith Healer > Doctors
Good luck with that... You and I both know that the next time you get sick, you'll go to a doctor. You are such a fucking jebus noob.

When christians get sick many of them believe its satans doing.
Satan is the evil source created by & remedied by[ guess who] christianity.
An imaginary evil with an imaginary cure.

God gave us the wisdom for science, I don't have a problem using technology. Why don't you try asking me something rather than putting words in my mouth.

Science doesn't rely on faith. If faith really was > than proof, you would think it would.
Wait--contradiction? Oh well--the Lord works in mysterious ways.
Science does nothing do disprove my faith. I made that thread on ID when I was basicly agnostic and only had a slight beliefe in God. Since then I have been born again and my faith in Jesus Christ has changed my life enough that its proof to me of Gods power. Instead of just bashing me for me beliefes why don't you try to not be so closed minded and maby you will understand where I'm coming from instead of just stereotyping me as a "Jesus Freak".
I'm not here trying to convert any of you so why do you feel the need to prove me wrong and "convert" me to a non believer?

Its not my intention to convince anyone of anything. If I come across that way I apologise cause its unintended.
I do enjoy hearing christians opinions when posed with certain questions though.Do you feel you could've attained the things you have without christianity?

Dont worry about it, nothing anyone has said offended me.
I feel like I would be nothing and my life would be pointless without my relationship with God. With God I not only do I feel like I can accomplish anything, I know I can.

I said you must believe
Faith Healer > Doctor
This is called logic. Not "putting words in your mouth"... You are just so highly illogical you don't know what you are saying. I mean, you do know that "science and technolgy" are indeed based on "proof"?

Its good that way.A lot of christians feel an overiding commitment to try & convert others to their belief.Theres also the fanatical element that causes many to voice their beliefs at inopportune moments to those who aern't interested.
If u feel stronger & happier I can't imagine why theres a feeling to convince others thats its valid.Others should see it in you & enquire themselves if they feel the need.

I know what you mean about organized Christianity and I think the way its used now is totally opposite of how Jesus intended it. I personally don't go to church for two reasons, I'm strong enough to keep my faith without constantly being reminded and I also don't feel that I need a pastor to talk to God for me, I can do that just fine on my own. I think its up te every person to seek out God in their own way so its not right for me to tell people how they should do it because it might not be the way God intended for them.
One of the funniest things ever is watching televangalists.
Those guys r trippin.Drunk with their own power & always asking for $$.
I know Evander Holyfield gave Benny Hinn $250.000 to faith heal him back after he lost to Moorer.

I am attempting to have a rational discussion about your beliefs and you are welcome to challenge mine on the same grounds. Being that you seem unwilling and/or incapable of looking at your beliefs under the lens of reason, I feel entirely justified at belittling you and pointing out you stupidity and inconsistency to others.
I would do the same for an astrologer and a holocaust denier.
So, Christian = holocause denier.... ok whatever you say.

Both are founded on irrational premises and should be challenged. Religion just happens to have a taboo surrounding it in which I should "respect your beliefs so long as you don't force your upon me."
I respect your opinion because I useto feel the exact same way, but I think your wrong to call people stupid because they don't agree with you.
I think that sometimes people can overemphasise the importance of proving someone wrong.
Faith in God can't be proved worng by definition, consider me a lost cause....

faith is one thing, but GOD and Jesus are bullshit
If it's not faith in God then what is it?
faith is one thing, but GOD and Jesus are bullshit
But it takes faith to believe christianity. The great hope of paradise & the comfort that accompanies it is so strong it fuels christians to replace rational fact with 'faith' in order to keep that hope alive.
Hope for "paradice" is nothing. My faith in God allowes me to have paradice now, I have nothing to look forward to but tomorrow. The bible sais have faith in God and he will provide you with anything that you ask and it's true, my life is proof.
