I was hoping for Quake 1 or 2, as I only played Quake 3 for about 2 minutes since I had already played UT.

Quake 3 got owned by UT, but so did Quake 2 by Unreal, one of the greatest games ever.

Quake 2's multiplayer was the shit though, way better than Unreal. Never really got into the story of Quake 2 though, only played it on a lan all the time.

i was good in ut2k3 and ut2k4 never played ut99 tho.

but i would play every night with all the best ut99 players on ut2k4

Yeah, controls, graphics and gameplay were crazy badass at the time. I remember trying to play Quake 3 and it feeling really slow. Plus no crazy maps like facing worlds with no gravity, sniping from the towers, jumping off the tower shooting at mother fuckers. The game screaming HEADSHOT, and MULTIKILL and GODLIKE!!!!
