Movie website Boxofficemojo is reporting that the weekend estimates for the Steve Austin film "The Condemned" will end its first weekend with an estimated Box Office of $4,000,000, the worst opening for any of the three WWE Films productions to date.

With Spider-Man 3 opening next weekend, it appears The Condemned will quickly leave theatres with a poor showing. Thankfully, WWE Films' previous efforts have shown a following with DVD sales and rentals, which is likely the company's best hope to turn a profit for "The Condemned" at this point. Steve Austin is contracted to do two additional films with WWE.

ouch! this movie looked like the best one of em all to me. Not that I'd pay for it but still it had a bit of a battle royale feel to it...only in english and with prisoners instead of middle school japanese kids.
