I agree. So which camp would you place yourself in?

Neither, I'm agnostic. I really don't care for either camp, but I EXPECIALLY hate athiests who talk shit about religious folks being stupid or illogical for believing in god, when they themselves cannot disprove god.

It doesn't say much about your intellectual prowess if you think less of atheists because they can't disprove god. Basic logic should tell you that you don't disprove a negative. The burden of proof in terms of god’s existence rests with the people that believe. To espouse anything else would be, by definition, stupid and illogical.

Is there a reason why you spelled the word “athiests” wrong?

You should have continued to read past the word "atheists" in the first sentance. I said nothing about thinking less of atheists as a whole. I think less of atheists who look at religious folks in a condescending manner. As a university student I find that these people are a dime a dozen. "Religious people are sheep, religion is for the weak minded, ect ect". I don't care for that attitude.

...but I guess if you read my post carefully, you wouldn't have had the oppertunity to flex those big intellectual muscles, huh?

Right because correcting your spelling and logic is somehow pretentious. If anything you should be thankful. Your “university education” has left you inherently unarmed to engage in this discussion.

When you have to attack someone's spelling, thats a sure sign that you're grasping at straws.

You bitter Athiests can use all the fancy wording and logic you want, but in the end, when talking about the supernatural you're talking about something completely beyond our logic. I don't believe that you need proof or justification for any religious or non religious belief. There is no burden of proof because there is no proof to begin with.

But when you openly state the a group of people are stupid for having a certain opinion, it helps to have some reasoning or proof that their opinion is wrong. Obviously, Atheists cannot do that, so they hide behind things like burden of proof.

Beanflickers idea that Atheists have to disprove gods existence is highly annoying. He's a simpleton at best.

I'm still waiting for him to disprove that the Easter Bunny exists.

HOLY SHIT he admits there is no proof of gods existence...

And, people aren't stupid for having an OPINION... they are stupid for having a FAITH BASED BELIEF IN SUPERSTITION.

To say, "boxing is boring" is an opinion (an opinion that you judge and put down as "stupid" anytime you get). To say that Santa Claus created the universe in 7 days and sits on a cloud watching all of us--- that, is superstition.
