henry 03-28-2007, 01:08 PM Forgive my technical shortcomings...
My burner will upload and run roms fine, it will also burn burn mp3 and data discs with no problems, but when I try to burn a standard cd I get an error message all the time. The conversions will go thru but after one or two songs are burned the disc will close it self. Is it a problem with my settings? I use WMP.

Sorry, what is WMP? WinAmp? Just for kicks, try doing it with iTunes and see what happens is what I would suggest (since it's free).

i was having problems writing - cleaned it with a alcohol wipe and boom - job done
the writer would write it but then wouldnt read it.

I've switched up the orders, it gives me an error message that directs me to an explanation of the problem as being bad discs. I've tried a few different brands, but no luck. I'll try cleaning it with a lens cleaner and then download anew program. I'll let you know if it works.

Is it in the same spot everytime? Also, you may want to invest in an actual lens cleaner and not use an alcohol swab. VERY easy to scratch the lens on those fuckers.
