View Full Version : Why are people always looking for differences?!?
amanamagus 03-21-2007, 06:00 PM People are always looking for ways to stay away from others. To separate themselves from other people. If they have same religion, they would seek to stay away citing different races, colour, nationality and loads of other things.
Is it insecurity in their hearts or fear(wariness of meeting strangers) of unknown or plain arrogance AND MISPLACED ego. I dont know.
If the whole europe is christian then they seek divisions on the basis of colour(read: black and white). Or they would make fun and ridicule each other's nationalities and culture.
VicDienekes 03-21-2007, 08:51 PM I think a more interesting question is why do some people present opinion as fact?

It all depends on circumstance,i will admit that certain circumstances lead to (imo)levels of comfort in my world. And depending on the situation I will react accordingly.

why do some people present opinion as fact?
deegs 03-08-2008, 08:28 AM i think it likely has more to do with finding commonality and identifying with similar people. whatever way that is; be it ethnicity, religion, or social standing.
the exclusiveness that comes along with it is only a side effect of sharing so many similar qualities with your group. those outside of this circle are naturally different, otherwise, they'd be in your group.
i don't think it's a bad thing at all. it's nature. it's safe, and comforting. you don't see many different groups of animals interacting (more than superficially) with animals not of their group.

the answer you're likely to get is only an opinion. consider the source, is my motto.
anywho, you can (mis)represent any opinion as fact. i think the fault lies with the audience, since everything you hear is an opinion. once it is regurgitated by a person, i take it with a grain of salt. it may not be the original truth even if that was the intention.
that's only my opinion.
I believe a lot of people just automatically think that other races breath smells bad.
deegs 03-08-2008, 10:01 AM true, but if you get close enough to anyone that isn't you, their breath is just as shitty.

amanamagus 03-08-2008, 11:27 AM But its so futile.... I mean, it'll never get over.... Everyone is unique and is bound to have difference whether they are oblivious or obvious to us. You keep on putting up fences and you keep on losing ground(read : people).

sometimes they can mask it listerene or plax and trick you so we have to be careful.
The problem with the abos is that they dont use the listerene as a mouthwash, they just drink the whole bottle to try and get a charge.
