I believe in it. There's more convincing cases out there than one might think. One of the most famous is the psychic Edgar Cayce. He accurately diagnosed the illnesses of patients thousands of miles away from him, even describing what they were doing at the moment of his diagnosis, etc. "De-frauders", Doctors came to analyze him and study him, and found that he was as he seemed--a rather uneducated simpleton. Yet, he was diagnosing people thousands of miles away with accurate medical terminology (when he slipped into his trance state). He never asked any payment for his services, but accepted donations. He lived a meager life until the end. He was nicknamed "The Sleeping Prophet" because he would lie down (always orientating his head North--or was it south?), fall into a trance state, and deliver his diagnoses. He had been asked other metaphysical questions while in his trance state that certainly aren't verifiable, but I find it interesting that when he was asked from whence he receives his answers, he responded, "the universal consciousness."
