yousayunclenow 02-23-2007, 05:31 AM It was early in the mourning and everything is fine...then BAM! The muscles in my mid back just start to hurt really bad. Now it's sore like I strained it, wierd thing is I didn't do anything.....ugh....the pain.......what would help?
hotnewton 02-23-2007, 01:23 PM to tell you the truth man, I just went through something like this. The doctor gave me some muscle relaxants, told me to rest and stretch. I also used a lot of deep cold and had my gf massage the shit out of my back.

Sloth 02-25-2007, 12:49 AM I'm no doctor and as Hotnewton posted, please don't take my advice as any official medical advice either. What helps me is using Tiger Balm and doing lots of yoga when my back is messed up. Yoga Rulz!

timetravel_0 04-25-2007, 08:52 AM That happened to me once. I woke up and my back felt a little sore but by the afternoon I couldnt move and it even hurt to breathe. Apparently I had pulled something while lifting weights the day before. I called the doctor and he told me to come by and get a prescription for some Percoset but I was in so much pain I didnt do it. So I just layed there and rested, by the next day the pain was a lot better and it was gone after a few more days.

Welcome to my world... Try and get some muscle relaxers, and just lay down and apply heat for a few days. If no, then take Ibuprohpen to help stop the inflamation. Don't exercise or do any damage. Just chill.

yeah i agree, oxycodone is on another level though, i always try to squeeze that out of my doc if at all possible, but ill take perc if its all i can get. damn why did you pass that up???????
jetjaguar 04-26-2007, 06:32 AM forget the muscle relaxers. try to walk alot . when you lay down to watch TV or something; keep your knees proped up with a big pillow and roll up a towell and put it under your lumbar area. Aviod d3eadlifts but do arches and hyperextensios. Dehydration and lack of sleep can be factors as well.

I was ignorant. Looking back I often kick myself for that one. I think even the doctor was surprised. I remember he asked if I was sure that I didnt want it and I was just like, "no, that's ok, I dont feel like going anywhere, it hurts to move."
