Has anyone seen this yet? Is it as bad as i think its going to be, or is it somehow a decent movie?

I was pleasantly surprised at just how dumb it actually is.
What I'm about to present are spoilers, all of which no one will give a shit about since I might as well be spoiling the plot to the film "All holes filled with cum: Series 7".
For one, the acting is dogshit. Eva Mendes acts so dumb you actually stop focusing on her incredible cleavage at certain points- yes it's that bad. Cage kind of hams it up, and the bad guy just sort of tries to actually *look* evil, even though the fact that he looks like he just graduated high school among his goth friends gives him little credibility.
All the action scenes are short, and boil down to Ghost Rider either "looking into someone's eyes"- which turns their eyes into cooled lava (no joke)- or wrapping a flaming chain around someone- both of which look shitty in CGI you'd find some kids basement 10 years ago.
Also, when Ghost Rider screams, it sounds like he has down syndrome. If Stephen Hawking tried to look menacing and roared through his voice box, Ghost Rider is how he'd sound. Again, not a joke.
One last thing: the movie sucks.

I knew this movie was bad just by watching the trailer. They took the wrong approach to the characters and made yet another shitty movie. Marvel sucks, eventually they will fuck up and make a bad Spider-Man movie (wait for SM3), they just can't help themselves.

I loved it, I was a huge fan of Ghost Rider as a kid and thought they did a great job making it feel like a comic book.
I dont really see what there is to complain about, special effects were great, Ghost Riders main villian was included, they kept pretty true to the original orgin, obviously a mixture of classic Ghost Rider and newer(danny ketch) Ghost Rider.
The plot wasn't an epic masterpeice but it did well in introducing the characters in a dramatic and entertaining fashion. You have to be able to tell a story and fit Ghost Riders orgin in a 2 hour flick, you can't complain too much about it feeling rushed. Acting wasn't bad at all, Cage is one of the best male actors out there at this point. I wanted Blackheart to look more like he does in the comics though, the gothic high school kid analogy holds true but I did like that they made him powerful.
With movies like Elektra and X-Men 3(worst comic book movie ever) floating around this one looks and feels great. Awesome seeing Ghost Rider come alive on the big screen, I recommend this movie for anyone.
I give it a B-

You're insane, but I guess I can see how it can be appreciated on a "so bad it's good" level even though I'd argue it's so bad that it's just simply bad.
Elektra did suck though. And so did X-Men 3 but I'd say it was at least better than Ghost Rider. Still, did you think my description of Ghost Rider's "howl" was spot on? Or did you hear something other than a woodchuck getting it's balls squeezed?
Maybe it's because that I'm still laughing at the scene where Ghost Rider kills one of the demons while underwater that I'm not still bitter about having spent 8 dollars in a ticket for a movie I hated.

Nope not insane, I just have a different opinion than you. I am one of the biggest Ghost Rider fans on the planet and I love that one of my favorite actors Nicholas Cage was playing him.
They kept true to the orgin which gets major points with me and really showed off Ghost Riders powers and invincible nature. I didn't like the elemental demons but they were sorta cool I guess and I also would have prefered the comic book style Blackheart and Mephisto.
Are you a comic book fan at all? What would you have done differently with Ghost Rider?

Not really. I skimmed over Grant Morrison's The Invisibles a few times, and the rest I just developed from collecting Marvel comic cards, and reading their bios. I dug Ghost Rider, but I always though of him as the one character that just couldn't be pulled off in the big screen, and in my opinion, they didn't.
Nicholas Cage is great though- even in Ghost Rider. Few actors can pull off playing a Ranger as in Con-Air and a fat, balding Charlie Kaufman as in Adaptation at once.
I still wanna see it but I wont be suprised if I sdont like it either, Cage hasnt been in anything I liked since Face Off

I haven't seen the movie but it looks like they are not keeping true to the GR comics I've read. Ghost Rider is not a comedian. I thinkg a GR movie should have a dark tone to it; I don't get that from What I've seen.
I know people that have seen it and like it, and others that hate it. I just hate it when they don't stick true to the characters.

Why didn't people like X-men 3??? Is it all people or just Comic Book fans? I enjoyed X-men 3 becuase it was mindless and full of action. Did Comic Book fans dislike it for that reason???
Just curious?

well I can explain the best as I can as a comic book nerd
-Juggernaut as a mutant with a british accent, Juggernaut is not a mutant, I prefer when movies respect the true orgins of a character, he also didnt quite look the part at all.
-Too many characters getting killed, I'm sorry but you don't disrespect a franchise by killing off so many main people.
-Mutants losing their powers, stupidest story arc I have ever seen. Taking powers away is the same as killing a character, this combined with the actual deaths was way too much.
-Wolverines claws looked fake like foil in this movie during alot of scenes.
-Same fucking villian every movie, Magneto, where is Apocolypse?
-Rushed story, the whole thing felt badly put together with no chracter developement at all, whole thing was too fast and too depressing.
-All the mutants that the X-men were fighting at the end of the movie didn't have any powers. They were just rushing at the X-men like normal humans like wtf. they were all supposed to be mutants so they should have displayed somekind of abilities, that part really pissed me off.
-Storms acting was sooooooooooooooooooooo fucking bad and so was her kung fu shit against Calypso. Hale Berry demanded more lines, they should have just dropped that hoe.
-There were no good mutant battles besides some brief stuff at the end and more wolverine overuse. I wanted to see a showdown between Colossus and teh Juggernaut or something equally badass.
-Where the fuck were the sentinels? All we get is a fucking sentinel head? What cheap bastards@!
---------The first 2 movies were so much better.

Thanks Ninja... I was just curious. I 'm not a big comic book fan so I was just wondering. I see what you're saying though. It's like me with the Might Duck movies, I love hockey and the Mighty Duck movies make a mockery of my favorite sport.
I still liked it because it was just mindless fighting but I understand why, if I were a fan of X-Men I would've hated it.

Not a fan of Nick Cage, i just think he's not a very good actor. He's had some good roles given to him but i just can't stand him as an actor.
I finally saw this pile of shit, omg its bad, Cage is a fucking pussy
I still cant get over how bad the acting was, especially Cages scream when he gets Eves phone number and Eve throwing the gun to cage at the end when it looked like she threw it at the ground and all of a sudden Ghost rider has it in his hands
theres so many fuck up in it
I didnt expect much at all so it was watchable atleast
