I am new and was wondering how I could find local submission tournaments? I would be looking for a low level tournament in California. Any help would be great.

Posting a thread asking about tournaments. Try posting on a few different forums with specifics, like "Does anyone know of any small tournaments coming up soon in Long Beach, CA" or something like that. Best of luck! TBA 02-18-2007, 09:33 AM Xhale was in a small tournament with a beginner class as well as advanced. I attended as a spectator and feel that it would be a good one for a first timer. The next tournament that group is having should be April 7th. Here's the thread about it and inside that thread there's a link to the official website with more details. http://ninjashoes.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10687 By the way, where do you live in CA? xhale 02-18-2007, 11:58 AM mma.tv has a lot rebornpro 02-19-2007, 07:10 PM yeah look out on website/ forums Cameron 02-27-2007, 09:48 PM i need some tourneys for ontario any help? They can usually help u out. nakedrear 03-14-2007, 11:35 PM You've heard of NAGA? (North American Grappling Association). They host grappling tournaments all over the US every year, and even in Canada I think. It shouldn't be hard to find their website, then you can find when they'll host a tourney near you. Squirrel 03-15-2007, 12:12 AM I would just Google the hell out of it or call some local Jiu Jitsu schools and ask. I'm sure that some of the students participate so they should know something. knockkraut 03-15-2007, 03:28 AM i need some tourneys for ontario any help? Hey, if you hear of any, lemme know too? I went to the Joslin Open, my dojo is having a small sorta in-house one at the end of march, and I think we're going to one in toronto at the end of april. When I find the specifics, I'll let you know. fiercely_loyal 03-16-2007, 02:56 AM grappling tournaments shouldn't be too hard in Cali, hell there's practically at least a school tournament every two weeks. Finding one here back in the Midwest is ridiculous |
