Boogiepop is good not an action anime but the story is sick. I have herd good things about death note, that is the series I am going to watch next.

the Death Note manga was insane, gotta be one of the most thrilling stories ever

I have been watching Death Note and I can vouch for it being one of the best series in years. The story is awesome and just very different from anything I have ever watched.
