how did you feel?

I remember I was nervous, and I knew the basics, and learned from instructionals, and stuff, but I still wanted to do the basic beginners program..
I had adrenaline rushes before training with people, cuz it's harder to train with people you never met in your life, and grapple and shit, but It was fun, One of the funnest days ever..lol..

I had to keep telling myself in the back of my mind "Don't spaz!" because I didn't want to be the guy no one wants to roll with. :D

My first day i was doing good because i did judo and wrestled for a couple of years. By the end of class one of the instructors ( Elmer Waterhen, a higher ranked KOTC Canada guys) puts me on the ground and started digging his elbows into my gut when he was in my guard. He then started hammer fisting me ( not really hard byt hard enough) and was yelling this isnt judo and laughing. When he let me up i walked over to the front desk and payed for a membership.

I signed up at Fairtex Academy, at first it was a little overwhelming but I got used to it. Now I feel like i'm in pretty good shape and it keeps me levelheaded during the week. But its true what ppl say, the hardest part about training is walking through those doors. Once you start though its damn hard to stop.

I just started at a new kickboxing/MMA gym in my neiberhood. it's got a row of full length thai bags, wall to wall tatamis and a ring. they play big slam' n beats during drills. I think I love kicking as much as I love chokeing.

I just started hitting the weight room with my assistant manager I was nervous at first. But it's been fun so far.

Just started BJJ in Febuary and I really like it. I have done lots of other arts so pretty comfortable here. Gotta admit it is a little odd at first with a fat sweaty guy laying in my gaurd.

My first day of Wing Chun was a harsh reality to make sure I wanted to stay in the class. First stood in pigeon toed stance foe most of the class then sparred my teacher and got totally owned. Was so sore but stuck with it and have loved it ever since.

My first day of Jiujitsu, I was biting my tongue the whole time. They were showing me all the mounts, and in my head I'm just like "Ok, seriously, I know what a side mount is, when do I get to choke some foo's out?". But seriously, I now live for JJ nights during the week. I know what 'mitch was talking about too, because rolling with my sensei is what gave me the greatest respect for him(and what made me want to stay there); his ability to make me feel like a helpless kid, while not bullying me.
