Although his next opponent is Oscar De La Hoya, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather has taken aim at IBF junior welter titlist Ricky Hatton, whom he could face down the road. "Ricky Hatton ain't nothing but a fat man. I'm going to punch him in his beer belly," Mayweather told BBC Sport. "He ain't good enough to be my sparring partner....when I retire, I'll get Ricky Hatton to wash my clothes and cut my lawn and buckle my shoes.....I've only seen Ricky Hatton fight one time and that was against Urango and he looked like garbage. All he can do is punch and hold, punch and hold and wrestle."

Meanwhile, back home in Manchester, Hatton celebrated his win over Juan Urango with what was described as "a boozy session at his local pub." 'The Hitman' also dismissed newspaper reports that he's about to become engaged.

I really can't see Floyd retiring win lose or draw against Oscar although the probability of him fighting on should he lose or draw would increase.
Either way he's just 30 & at his best & I think there's a odds on chance he'll continue fighting and may well fight Hatton before he retires.Its obvious he thinks Hatton isn't in his league.

Floyd does have power but its hard to maintain as he's continually stepped up in weight,however he does have enough venom in his shots to keep Hatton off of his game.
I think Floyd is just way too slick,quick & smart to fall victim to anything Hatton has to offer,he's also tireless.

Did anyone see hatton's last fight? He looked like a master BOXER, not just the brawl style he usually shows, his skills are improving.

The fight should have happened back right after Hatton beat Kostya. It's about time. Kinda looked like Mayweather was ducking him for a while there.
