Does anyone here have any experience with an MCL injury. I have been away from the gym for over a month now because my MCL is partially torn away from my shin bone and I'm so depresssed and pissed off that I'm going crazy. I hope that I can get back to training eventually and still perform at a high level. My doctor said that I may need surgery and I have been referred to a surgeon. I was supposed to get my first amature fight in March but now that likely won't happen. Anyway... if anyone has any experience with this and can offer some helpful advice I would really appriciate it.

I have no personal experience but I know two friends of mine that have had to deal with it, the biggest thing is to get the surgery and then slowly work your way back. If you fuck around with a partial MCL tear then you are running high risk of it being damaged forever.

when is your MRI dude? be ready to be completely still. if you have not had one b4, you can mess it up by moving. it takes like 30 minutes.
