No matter to me really...I run Firefox with teh flashblock, and most of the music is flash that I see. But I agree with niakiruh. Dicks who abuse it should be band.

-Im not going to make any rules like bans for embedding music, It would be way to hard to enforce not to mention a pain in the ass. I hate having to give people warnings and shit too. It would really drive me and the mods crazy to constantly have to warn people and hear noobs either freak out or aplogize.

-pics/music in the shoutbox can cause the site to load slower especially for people on dialup

-the music is fun when used in an entertaining way like some have demonstrated but for me its really invasive because I always have music on when I post anyway. I oftentimes have to scroll down and find it before I can even read the thread so I can turn it off.

-we can still use pics in sigs and pics of shane west will still pop up when you type his name

-music can still be posted in the music forum and many others

-The only real negative side of this is that we cant change our font or post images in the shoutbox, the shoutbox did have a strange bug that would make it keep reloading sometimes when people posted images, also some people would put porn in there and I think people should have the option to avoid porn by staying out of the asylum/anus/women/ninjastash forums.

Im pretty shocked how everyones voting. Music in the shoutbox was pissing me off. I mean I can prune it at anytime but when I am not around its real invasive and hard to avoid.

-shoutbox is back to normal

-music is disabled in threads outside the music forum, you can still share music just fine by posting a link but you can no longer force everyone to hear it

-no music or embedded videos in sigs, there now size limits in pic sigs, now people cant put pics in there sigs that take up half the page, having big sig pics and videos in sigs can really cause a page to load up slowly

Cool. As technology advances maybe some of that stuff can be added gradually back. It is too bad some people went crazy in the shoutbox to bring such annoyance to others. Poor Stan.

i could do without it, i think its a great way to come up with some creative threads, but people do get a little too stupid at times..

and i cant erase the marquee code in my sig without deleting all the skulls, and i wont do it.. so my sig looks like i am not internet friendly for the rest of my life.. :(

The music doesent slow the site down in threads, in the shoutbox I think it does slightly. The videos and gif images do slow page loading down quite a bit though, same thing for huge images in sigs.

The music is just horribly annoying because you gotta scroll down and find the player to shut that shit off and the worst part is that it starts automatic so your basically forced to listen. I always have music playing while I post so it a huge annoyance for me.

It still works fine in the music forum though and the shoutbox has been changed back since we voted to bring it back. Hopefully people will respect the fact that its annoying to put music and huge pics/porn in there.
