after being banned so many times on sherdog, i got sick of registering new e-mail addresses every time i need a new account. so i wrote this custom SMTP (e-mail) server software in visual basic.

all you do is run it, making sure requests from the internet come through to your computer on port 25. then you register on sherdog's website using an e-mail address like anythingyouwant@yourIPaddress where "yourIPaddress" is literally your internet IP address.

then when sherdog tries to send the account activation e-mail, my program picks it up and parses the account activation URL out of it, all ready for you to copy and paste into firefox, IE, or whatever.. then VOILA! you've got a new account in a matter of seconds :sifone:

if you have problems getting it working let me know. as long as you know how to configure your router (if you use one) to forward port 25 to your machine, you're golden.

Im sure there is some way that we can see who is pulling this shit and IP ban their asses.

all i have to do is change my hostname that points to my IP with one of the free redirection services i'm signed up with. takes about 20 seconds to go to their site and do it.

anyway, no they're not great. they're a bunch of ban-happy assholes and i'm sick of trying to be a legit poster over there, only to get banned anyway so i don't really give a crap any more. i have a legit account i use there now, and occasionally i still do some trolling with other accounts.
