Holy shit. moggs 01-20-2007, 01:36 AM lol This thread needs Tri star Gym Montreal, Sonny, Wuchi, lion man, envious, lockjaw etc etc. moggs 01-20-2007, 01:37 AM oh and QQ, duh hotnewton 01-20-2007, 06:46 AM ;292862']i seen this this morning and now cant find it but anyway the Boston Bruins signed Sergei Sampsonov to a multi yr contract. fuck yeah, about time they brought him back to bean-town. anyway, Go Bruins hope they make the playoffs this yr and upset alot of teams. I can't find any info of this anywhere I checked TSN Tradecentre and the only player involved in a trade from Boston is Yan Statsny http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/trade_deadline/ I can imagine that Montreal will try to deal Samsinov, but they haven't done it yet... P.S. Who's going to waste money on a barely healthy Peter Forsberg? If I was a GM I definitely wouldn't risk shaking up my team only to have Forsberg get injured before the playoffs... but that's just me Axeman 01-20-2007, 03:45 PM I can't find any info of this anywhere I checked TSN Tradecentre and the only player involved in a trade from Boston is Yan Statsny http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/trade_deadline/ I can imagine that Montreal will try to deal Samsinov, but they haven't done it yet... It's too bad the Canucks have now become one of the most boring teams in the NHL to watch The Canucks are finding ways to win games as of late, but I just don't see them keeping it up... too many holes on the team They might creep into the playoffs as the 8th seed but will get smashed by Nashville/Anaheim hotnewton 01-21-2007, 03:24 AM P.S. I'm glad you listed Van as a team you don't want Forsberg to go to. Don't worry about that one, Vancouver is so tight against the cap they can barely afford to bring up players from the minors. I don't really want to see Forsberg go to Detroit either, but it was rumoured today that he will be going to the NY Rangers and that he will resign with Philly and end his career there. I'd like to see him go back to Colorado, even though he single handedly took out Marty Brodeur and the Devils in the 00-01 playoffs. Forsberg should definitely retire as an AV. Young stars and skills competition todat a 4:30et. The only part of the All-Star week that's worth watching! Dick Sexington 01-23-2007, 02:34 PM have you guys heard about rental and re-sign? apparently its the new thing to help keep the cap controllable and get good players for a playoff run. So basically Peter Forsberg wants to stay in Philly for next season, but Philly will trade him to a team as a rental player. Then when the season is over he goes back to Philly. The rumours are: Forsberg to Colorado (lol) Anson Carter to Vancouver its fucked but, it seems like a pretty smart scheme by the owners and gm's. moggs 01-23-2007, 09:09 PM have you guys heard about rental and re-sign? apparently its the new thing to help keep the cap controllable and get good players for a playoff run. The only part of the All-Star week that's worth watching! damn good post. yes i would LOVE to see him back in Colorado, specially since i have his jersey :-) but i know that wont happen. as long as det or van don get him inm fine. NYR is cool, i dont mind them. when healthy he is still one of, if not, the best player in the game. (3-5 years ago, he was unquestioned the best and most talented player in teh game)(ask Barry Melrose). Axeman 01-23-2007, 10:59 PM i hope Boston picks him up. cam 01-23-2007, 11:11 PM Yeah but if we followed that form of thinking there'd be 10-12 teams moving due to lack of fan interest Move Pit to Canada, guaranteed sell out every night ya, but where winnpeg, nope, tried and failed sktoon, too small not sure what Canadain town could do it? halifax? hotnewton 01-24-2007, 01:00 AM ya, but where winnpeg, nope, tried and failed sktoon, too small not sure what Canadain town could do it? halifax? The #1 choice is Hamilton I think, but there are a few other cities in Ontario that are thought to be good places to put a team (can't remember the names right now) The Winnipeg flop was over 10 years ago and Winnipeg is the only city with a ready to go NHL arena, I wouldn't overlook Winnipeg as a future market for an NHL team, but it probably won't happen hotnewton 01-24-2007, 01:01 AM damn good post. yes i would LOVE to see him back in Colorado, specially since i have his jersey :-) but i know that wont happen. as long as det or van don get him inm fine. NYR is cool, i dont mind them. when healthy he is still one of, if not, the best player in the game. (3-5 years ago, he was unquestioned the best and most talented player in teh game)(ask Barry Melrose). Forsberg when healthy is definitely the best player in the nhl. He's the swedish Mario in my opinion, he plays only 30-45 games a year and is still in the top 40 in scoring, only Mario Lemieux could pull something like that off Dick Sexington 01-24-2007, 01:23 AM forsberg should go to a team that is at least a legit contender to win the cup. colorado, although the sentimental choice, is just going to be fighting for a playoff spot. forget about getting to the cup. imo he should go to a team like montreal, calgary, buffalo etc. teams that are set up to go far in a playoff situation. he would be a huge asset if he stays healthy. hotnewton 01-24-2007, 09:33 AM forsberg should go to a team that is at least a legit contender to win the cup. colorado, although the sentimental choice, is just going to be fighting for a playoff spot. forget about getting to the cup. imo he should go to a team like montreal, calgary, buffalo etc. teams that are set up to go far in a playoff situation. he would be a huge asset if he stays healthy. I agree, I'd really like for him to sign with the AVS next year and retire there. I think he will end up going to the Rangers. Montreal would be a nice fit but bringing a player like Forsberg into a dressing room like Calgary or Buffalo (two teams that are really rolling) could casue more harm than help. I think Calgary is going to get Conroy back for the playoffs (what a mistake it was letting him go) If Calgary gets Conroy they will be my pick to make it to the finals from the west. Dick Sexington 01-24-2007, 01:00 PM forsberg has made it clear that he wants to be in philly. so i think that is where he will retire (god knows why?) livingdeath 01-24-2007, 07:56 PM The rumours are: Forsberg to Colorado (lol) Anson Carter to Vancouver carter is a good fit with the sedins, but he's not worth the 2.5 columbus is paying him.he needs the sedins more then they need him.could be a good move for a run since he played here last year. CHE 01-25-2007, 01:24 AM The rumours are: Forsberg to Colorado (lol) Anson Carter to Vancouver carter is a good fit with the sedins, but he's not worth the 2.5 columbus is paying him.he needs the sedins more then they need him.could be a good move for a run since he played here last year. id love that, but as much as i hate to say it they arent a cup contender, however edmonton proved last year that even an 8th seed can make it game 7 of the finals, so anythings possible. hotnewton 01-25-2007, 02:02 AM id love that, but as much as i hate to say it they arent a cup contender, however edmonton proved last year that even an 8th seed can make it game 7 of the finals, so anythings possible. Edmonton did prove that anything is possible... if you have the goaltending and Chris Pronger. I don't think Colorado has the goaltending or the defence to make a huge run in the playoffs. But you never know with Jose, he could catch fire in the last half of the season hotnewton 01-25-2007, 02:04 AM forsberg has made it clear that he wants to be in philly. so i think that is where he will retire (god knows why?) I still don't understand why Forsberg would want to retire in Philly, it doesn't make much sense to me either. Retire in Colorado where it all started for you. I wonder where Tkachuk will go if the play of the BLues tails off after the All-Star break? hotnewton 01-25-2007, 02:07 AM P.S. All star Game is about to Start I'm picking the East by 6 goals (Crosby MVP) livingdeath 01-25-2007, 02:30 AM i'm not watching the allstar game if they won't let rory fitzpatrick play,he has 3 points this season he deserves to be there.lol. hotnewton 01-25-2007, 05:01 AM i'm not watching the allstar game if they won't let rory fitzpatrick play,he has 3 points this season he deserves to be there.lol. I agree with Rory being there. The All-star game sucks in my opinion, but there's nothing else on TV right now so I'm watching it. Rory being there would've added some much needed excitement. P.S. Crosby and Ovechkin sucked tonight, it was all the Old Timers lighting people up And I was way off on the score, West is winning 11-9 right now Dick Sexington 01-25-2007, 07:18 PM so-so game last night, meh. new rumour mill...Ottawa D-man Joe Korvo to Edmonton for Raffi Torres. this would be a great deal for both teams considering: Raffi went deep in the playoffs last year and is a real tough player (something the sens have lacked in previous playoffs) Edmonton needs a mobile defense man that can run the Power Play. hotnewton 01-26-2007, 04:47 AM so-so game last night, meh. new rumour mill...Ottawa D-man Joe Korvo to Edmonton for Raffi Torres. this would be a great deal for both teams considering: Raffi went deep in the playoffs last year and is a real tough player (something the sens have lacked in previous playoffs) Edmonton needs a mobile defense man that can run the Power Play. didn't hear that one, that'd be a great trade hotnewton 01-26-2007, 04:47 AM p.s. I agree with the So-So game I was shocked at how bad the passing was hotnewton 01-26-2007, 09:19 AM Heard today that Peter Forsberg is indeed in talks with the Colorado Avalanche and it's rumoured that the trade will be Forsberg for Jose Theodore and some prospects or draft picks Good news in my eyes, with quite a few games left vs the Canucks I hope the Avalanzhe can knock them out of the playoffs, although I'm pretty confident the Canucks won't make the playoffs anyways hotnewton 01-28-2007, 12:06 AM Heard today that Peter Forsberg is indeed in talks with the Colorado Avalanche and it's rumoured that the trade will be Forsberg for Jose Theodore and some prospects or draft picks Good news in my eyes, with quite a few games left vs the Canucks I hope the Avalanzhe can knock them out of the playoffs, although I'm pretty confident the Canucks won't make the playoffs anyways Sorry colorado fans but Peter forsberg said today that he didn't talk to anybody in Colorado, he's waiting to see what the Philly GM wants to do. I still think he's moving, but I don't know if it will be to Colorado. Dick Sexington 01-28-2007, 12:49 AM Hey AXE did you see the game this aft? Ottawa baby!!! But seriously i wouldn't want to play boston in the playoffs. tough team sean damon 01-28-2007, 04:53 AM penguins will make a tear for the cup. hotnewton 01-28-2007, 05:56 AM penguins will make a tear for the cup. They could make a run but they're going to have to place 6th or higher because I do not see them making it past the big two in the east (Buffalo or New Jersey) hotnewton 01-28-2007, 05:57 AM Hey AXE did you see the game this aft? Ottawa baby!!! But seriously i wouldn't want to play boston in the playoffs. tough team the good thing about the NHL now is that you wouldn't want to play most teams in the playoffs now, even the 9th through 12th seeded teams would be able to make a run if they did make it in P.S. I love the last two months of the season, I love watching the bottom seeded teams spoil playoff runs livingdeath 01-28-2007, 10:01 PM Heard today that Peter Forsberg is indeed in talks with the Colorado Avalanche and it's rumoured that the trade will be Forsberg for Jose Theodore and some prospects or draft picks Good news in my eyes, with quite a few games left vs the Canucks I hope the Avalanzhe can knock them out of the playoffs, although I'm pretty confident the Canucks won't make the playoffs anyways yea everyone back east says the same thing about the canucks cause they pwn the maple laughs every time they play them. hotnewton 01-29-2007, 01:41 AM yea everyone back east says the same thing about the canucks cause they pwn the maple laughs every time they play them. I'm from B.C. but I just can't stand the Canucks, they're just one of those teams I love to hate. Team Sweden. Dick Sexington 01-29-2007, 03:02 PM New York Rangers=Chec Republic hotnewton 01-30-2007, 12:27 AM Well guys, Trade season has officially begun... Like reported Conroy is back to Calgary. Jamie Lundmark and two draft picks are heading to Los Angeles. Calgary just got 15x better, now they have two dynamic scoring lines once Iginla come back from injury and 2 shut down lines that can score the big goals. Full Story: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=194096&hubname=nhl hotnewton 01-30-2007, 12:28 AM New York Rangers=Chec Republic Yes sir, good post San Jose = Team Canada Dick Sexington 01-30-2007, 12:49 AM im glad conroy went back to calgary their second line will have jerome iginla on it. holy shit!!! heard a rumour today that forsberg waived his no trade clause and that the fucking red wings may pick him up! damn anyways, sens over habs and bruins over rangers tonight moggs 01-30-2007, 01:23 AM im glad conroy went back to calgary their second line will have jerome iginla on it. holy shit!!! heard a rumour today that forsberg waived his no trade clause and that the fucking red wings may pick him up! damn anyways, sens over habs and bruins over rangers tonight awww man...if this is true then wings=team sweden livingdeath 01-30-2007, 02:26 AM im glad conroy went back to calgary their second line will have jerome iginla on it. holy shit!!! heard a rumour today that forsberg waived his no trade clause and that the fucking red wings may pick him up! damn anyways, sens over habs and bruins over rangers tonight calgarys over rated, forsberg to the red wings???that almost sounds like blasphemy. hotnewton 01-30-2007, 03:51 AM calgarys over rated, forsberg to the red wings???that almost sounds like blasphemy. I think Calgary is one of the best teams in the west... in my opinion it's Kiprusoff that's over rated (he's a great goalie but not as good as people make him out to be) Forsberg playing for Detroit...? I just can't see it happening, it just doesn't seem right... and I agree that Detroit will take over as Team Sweden. Boston just lost 6-1 to the Rangers, crazy playoff races are beginning. P.S. Forsberg hasn't waived his no trade clause because he doesn't feel healthy enough to be traded. Whether or not Forsberg will be traded depends on whether or not Forsberg feels he is healthy enough to make a difference. If not he won't move. livingdeath 01-30-2007, 04:19 AM http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/trade_deadline/feature/?fid=2524&hubname= i'll have this in my favorites right up to the deadline,i'll be hitting the refresh button every 5 minutes on the last day or two.i guess the flems do have a pretty solid D in front of kipper. hotnewton 01-30-2007, 04:27 AM http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/trade_deadline/feature/?fid=2524&hubname= i'll have this in my favorites right up to the deadline,i'll be hitting the refresh button every 5 minutes on the last day or two.i guess the flems do have a pretty solid D in front of kipper. Do you live in Canada? Because TSN has a great trade deadline show on the final day of trading (The 2007 NHL trade deadline is Tuesday, February 27 at 3pm et/Noon pt) I don't know how many big trades will be featured this year but the show is really great and I recommend everybody who get's TSN mark their calendars. livingdeath 01-30-2007, 06:13 AM yes i'm canadian.i'll be watching that tsn show.the trade deadline used to be in the 2nd week of march,i think its better that the deadline is in february. hotnewton 01-30-2007, 06:35 AM yes i'm canadian.i'll be watching that tsn show.the trade deadline used to be in the 2nd week of march,i think its better that the deadline is in february. Well they didn't prove they are way better than Edm but they did win. Fucking Canucks. P.S. I have Kipper in my hockey pool and he was like 2 minutes from a 2-0 shut out and they ended up losing 3-2 in a shootout livingdeath 02-07-2007, 07:26 AM We'll see, I'm expecting a big win on Tuesday from the Oil. haha canucks beat coilers 5-2!!! hotnewton 02-07-2007, 12:46 PM haha canucks beat coilers 5-2!!! I was pretty dissapointed with the way the oilers played the last 25 minutes of the game P.S. Martin Havlat>Vancouver livingdeath 02-08-2007, 10:18 PM I was pretty dissapointed with the way the oilers played the last 25 minutes of the game P.S. Martin Havlat>Vancouver i'm not so over confident after they were shutout by chicago,i should keep my mouth shut they do better! http://ninjashoes.net/forum/uploaded/1047_1170915361.jpg livingdeath 02-08-2007, 10:22 PM http://ninjashoes.net/forum/uploaded/1047_1170969690.jpg at least i'm not that guy. hotnewton 02-09-2007, 03:58 AM http://ninjashoes.net/forum/uploaded/1047_1170969690.jpg at least i'm not that guy. That's true. I'm a huge Anti-Canuck fan so anything I say about the Canucks can be taken with a grain of salt. I don't know why I hate them so much I just do. It has a lot to do with John Garrett and the way he sucks off every Canuck before during and after most games. Anyways, I'm just bitter because the Canucks are still winning 50% of their games and Edm/Col are really sucking hard. P.S. Another Shutout for Marty Brodeur tonight, 10 on the season, this guy is simply amazing hotnewton 02-10-2007, 05:19 AM Two minor trades today Wild send Dupuis to the Rangers for Adam Hall. I thought this was a salary cap move but Hall is making more than Dupuis. I read that the Wild are looking to add grit for the playoffs but I really like the play of Dupuis. Curious to see how this move plays out and to see who it helps more. Preds send Vasicek back to the Canes for Eric Belanger. Both are $1.3 million players and Vasicek was a part of the Canes run last year (even though he was banged up a lot) but the thing I'd like about this trade if I were a huge Preds fan is the fact that Eric Belanger is 53.4% in the face off circle this season, adding to the Nashville Predators already strong face off game. We have all seen how face offs help in the playoffs (Caroline in game 2 vs NJ last year) and Nashville is already spectacular. As long as Vokoun stays healthy Nashville might be the team to beat in the West. hotnewton 02-11-2007, 02:13 AM I have Zdeno Chara in my hockey pool, Boston really needs to start picking up their game this is getting a little ridiculous vBulletin® v3.7.4, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. |
