Lou Savarese back Thursday!
By Peter Lim
Former heavyweight contender Lou Savarese 44-6 (36 KOs) takes on Travis Fulton 15-16 (15 KOs), at the Houston Grand Plaza on January 18. Savarese, 41, is best remembered for waging war against some of the biggest names in the heavyweight division. He knocked out Tim Witherspoon in 2002 and Buster Douglas in 1998 when both former champs were past their primes. Savarese was stopped by Mike Tyson after just 38 seconds in 2000, and was outpointed by Michael Grant in 1999 and by George Foreman in 1997. Although card is headlined by an aging veteran, the undercards will feature a lineup of young Houston prospects including light heavyweight Chris Henry, 16-0 (14 KOs), featherweight Elezar Renteria 6-0 (5 KOs), lightweight Benjamin Flores, 14-2 (4 KOs), heavyweight Eugene Hill, 2-0 (2 KOs), heavyweight Bobby Flores, 2-1 (2 KOs) and featherweight Marcelino Osuna (pro debut). The event will be staged by Rock Solid Promotions.

Lou is going to fuck him up BADLY.

You gotta hand it to Fulton though. The guy is a real throwback, a real warrior. Not only does he have more MMA fights than virtually anyone, he does pro boxing on the side as well. From what I remember of his boxing record, I think all or 99% of his fights ended in KOs, he either knocks a guy out or gets knocked out. He's lost to any decent pugilist he's ever fought though.

Yeah I just checked his record at boxrec & he either scores a KO or gets Koed. His record is 15/16,with 15 kos & he's been KOed 16 times.
It'll be 17 by the time big Lou is done with him.
